macOS Finder - unmount share if moving items

Post by Herbertson »

Hi,

I have a strange misbehavior. Each time I want to move a folder from one directory to another directory within the some share, the connection of the share/NAS interrupts and the operation ends with an error message within the macOS Finder:
The process could not be completed because an unknown error occurred (Error 100057).
macOS: Sonoma 14.1
TOS: 5.1.67

I've controlled every permission settings and I couldn't find any reason for this misbehavior.

Thanks for help.
Regards,
Herbertson.

Additional information.
- only SMB protocol is active (AFP off): SMB2 up to SMB3
- copying of items works as expected

Additional information 2:
  • also renaming of items causes interruptions
  • if I login via SMB with admin account the file operations works as expected. But due to the permission settings it is not logical. My working account on the NAS is member of the admin group… and I've checked the permission settings carefully
Thanks.
Regards,
Herbertson.
