Benefits of using TRAID over Raid1 with 2 Bay devices

As I did not got any reactions for three weeks in the official announcement thread, which seems dead in general I would like to repost my question here.

As is have to reinstall the system because of the recent problem with the lack of compatibility check on the 5.1 update, I asked myself, would there be any benefits using TRIAD over RAID1 in my F2-220 (do you say F2-240 if it has double the RAM?)

Like:
Can USB drives be included in TRADE or something? Can I read the drive data in an emergency case on another linux system as long as I using TRAID with only two drives (like with RAID1)?

Traid would require the use of BTRFS. That would be the only difference I think which would be OK if you wanted to make use of snapshots. (I presume you have ext4 file system currently.) I can't think of any reason to choose Traid over raid1 to be honest. No, I'm pretty sure you can't add usb drives.

Thank you for your reply, trying to to Answer my questions.

Currently I have no file system as the Update failed without warning, but if I remember correctly I did already use BTRFS.

In the Promotional materials and in the announcements it is only written about the benefits for bigger disk arrays. Which is of course why there is for example no information about recoverability besides the RAIDs Functions.
