I've recently bought a F2-210. The device works well initially but after each time I have rebooted the device it has stopped working.
Currently when I navigate to the devices's web page I see a loading icon and the page doesn't load. The device rejects all connections from ssh, fpt, doesn't show up on the TNAS PC program and the network drives on windows are no longer connected.
This is the second time I've had this problem. The first time I had to remove the hard drives, completely format them on a different computer and then reinstall tnas.
How can I stop this happening or fix the problem?
F2-210 stops working after a reboot
Re: F2-210 stops working after a reboot
This maybe because of one or more bad sectors in your system partition, the bad sectors stop system run properly. Please try to reformat your drive or use a healthy drive by instead. By the way, what drive you installed into your TNAS?

Thanks for you reply.
The drives that I am using are a pair of Seagate Ironwolf 2TB drives. They were both bought recently and have only been used in the TNAS.

May I know which TOS version you have installed?

Re: F2-210 stops working after a reboot
I've just rebooted the TNAS by pressing the power button and it's managed to reboot and is now accessible but it appears to have formatted the volume. I didn't try to reinstall the software and it has kept configuration settings like port, users and passwords.
I've been trying to copy data back to it but twice now it has stopped copying half way and closed all windows explorer windows.
The TNAS is running TOS version 4.1.27
I've run a a bad blocks scan on both drives and neither report any issues.

Can you check your memory usage? was it overflow?
If your memory usage is high, you can release it by following instruction viewtopic.php?f=75&t=647&p=2908#p2908

Re: F2-210 stops working after a reboot
It sounds a little bit similar to my issue: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=631. I have an F5-221 with 4TB Ironwolf drives.
In my case, the device starts hanging randomly, usually when copying files using Windows Explorer. It stops responding to anything (ssh, control panel, smb, power button short press). Usually the hard drive lights stop blinking, it's super obvious when in some cases one or two hard drive lights are randomly off, or sometimes all of them stay on without blinking. I did a full format (writing 0s) on the drives (using Ubuntu), they reported no errors or reused sectors.
It seems more people with Ironwolf drives are reporting issues suddenly. I contacted support and they enabled a lot of logging, they're trying to figure it out. Maybe you can also contact support and see if our issues are similar.

Re: F2-210 stops working after a reboot
The memory usage hit 94% (of 1GB total) after transferring a few gigabyte of data and stayed this way for a while.TMroy wrote: ↑23 Jul 2020, 23:23 Can you check your memory usage? was it overflow?

I will try installing the update you linked.
