TOS 5.1.41 (X86) is Released for Update
Re: TOS 5.1.41 (X86) is Released for Update
Can you clarify the time the new version will be uploaded?

I don't think that @Pe6yc was asking when the next TOS update would be issued. I suspect they were asking about this:
Now, according to the support download site this 5.1.44 is a Bootimage (common bootloader) of the form *.img. This is really confusing that you use similar notation for TOS updates and bootloader images. On my PC system I have a bootloader image 5.1.40 in the downloads. I am presuming that the NAS at some point has downloaded this to perform a 'self-update'. The fact that the bootloader image file is available for download implies we can do something with it, but there is no documentation as far as I can see. How does the bootloader image get updated on the NAS? AND, if appropriate, how does it update if auto-update is disabled in the NAS?This is normal, and the latest version 5.1.44 online will be automatically loaded after 30 seconds.

Having raised the issue of HPET in this thread, I have discovered something else:
(tried to clean up TOS 5.1.41)
At command line: (as "admin user")
reveals that on my F5-221, TSC, HPET, and ACPI_PM are all available, but that TSC is in use.

TMRoy, I was suprised by this request back on page 4 of this thread..., "Would you remove all your drives and reboot your TNAS to find the initboot version number from the bottom of the TOS page?"
The Initboot version is shown in Control Panel > System > Update Tab in ToS 5.1. Is that information not reliable ?

Is it the same? Really? I only see the bios version. I don't see the info I reported earlier wi9th the 'shut down-restart- palaver. Why can't I see the full info if it is supposed to be there in the control panel.
