Trying to upgrade to 4.2.41 from 4.1.32

Post by Chilidawg »

It seems my auto update feature has never worked. I decided to do a manual upgrade. The software update will not let me choose manual update or pop up a window to find the file.
I spent two days backing up all of my RAID 5 data and decided to do a factory reset to get it upgraded. When I click on Reset Factory default the Apply button doesn't turn blue and clicking on it done nothing just like trying to change to manual update. It seems like about half of the admin functions will not allow me to do anything with them.. I am signed in as admin and admin has admin rights.
This is really frustrating to go through all of this and not be able to even factory default the machine. Any ideas?

Perhaps you would like to tell us which model NAS you are working on. A bit more info such as quantity, model(s) and capacit(y/ies) of hard drives in your Raid array. Might not make any difference but someone may spot something. I'm went direct to TOS5, so I can't help with the OS features.
F5-221 TOS6.0.794 - 4x4TB Traid (TNAS UPS Server :?: Broken :?: )
F2-424 TOS7.0.0392 {BETA} - 2x500GB nvme (P3) Traid, 2x6T HDD Traid
F2-221 TOS7.0.0364 - 1x3TB Ext4, 1x4TB Ext4 [Test system]

Sorry, I did forget to post the type. It was early this AM I was posting that. My system is a F4-210 system.

Try to change the browser to operate, pay attention to whether the update package you downloaded is correct, and finally suggest you to reinstall the system.

This system will not do auto update. It will not perform manual updates, it will not perform a factory reset.
the apply button on all three functions does nothing. I can't even back up the configuration file. It seems anything that requires admin privilege is NOT working. Network, SNTP, FTP, they will not even display the info much less let me change it.
The drives function on the internal network but this really causes me concern due to the amount of data I maintain on this NAS system.
I just want to update or re-install the operating system. There must be some way to force this thing to reset/reload the OS.

Can you create a new user with admin privilege? (Just thinking out loud, so ignore me if you wish :| )
