I only suggest this as I believe the developers have changed some of the code that calculates available RAM and just maybe this is causing an issue in your setup? I had issues with my F5-221 reporting a negative value in the total available RAM, I had an 8GB memory stick installed on top of the onboard 2GB but the web interface reported a negative ram value! I've put a 4GB stick in now and all seems to be ok for the moment. I haven't tested the 8GB stick since 4.1.28 was released so maybe it's fixed there. Could be worth you upgrading to 4.1.28 as well?
I think you might be on to something, I wonder if my device shipped with a bad stick of RAM considering it has been crashing randomly since I got it, no matter the TOS version.

The one time I've been able to see it log when crashing I did see memory-related errors: https://dpaste.com/GU8UGJ8MF

Code: Select all

swapper/0: page allocation failure: order:0, mode:0x1080020(GFP_ATOMIC), nodemask=(null)
