Purchased an F2-210. No matter the drives i put in it will say at risk, two are new wd red 4tb's which are listed as approved for this device.
When i ignore this an attempt install it sits and 90% and does not progress.
The webpage that gives you the choice between standard installation and custom will not load correctly, instead just says "TIPS" at the bottom. There is two boxes which i assume are broken forms of the buttons but no matter the one i press there is no custom options appearing.
Windows 10. Tried on both Opera GX and Chrome.
Installing only one drive allowed to complete install TOS. But gave me no options for raid setup, and instead just had it as single disk, there was no step where it gave me an option to put in a second drive once we got to the username and password creation as per the guide. Instead once i filled the form out it just started the 3 minute countdown.
What can i do? I just want JBOD for both my drives, but if you install and setup as single disk theres no way to migrate that to a JBOD setup without restarting the whole process.

Re: F2-210 Setup Issues
What is the initboot version on the 210?
It's in the bottom or bottom right. RTL1296_something …
Older versions need to be updated before you can install newer versions of TOS.

Re: F2-210 Setup Issues
Before installing the system, the system partition will be scanned for bad blocks on your drives. If you are prompted your drives at risk, you need to replace them. This may be the reason lead to your system installation fails. Yes, no matter how many drives you have, the system partition needs to be healthy.

Re: F2-210 Setup Issues
Ive formatted both the desired drives and still have the same issue. Both have healthy partitions and funtion fine for file transfers when plugged into a dock and connected to my main PC.
the initboot version is RTD1296_1328_V4.9.6

Re: F2-210 Setup Issues
This is also the screen im seeing when going through the setup that i spoke about in the original post. no option for custom as per the documentation.
Re: F2-210 Setup Issues
This is a question on the page, the upper select box is for online install and the lower select box is for custom install.

Re: F2-210 Setup Issues
either box i select has no effect on what raid setup occurs. i managed to get a full install working with two different drives but it instead defaulted to single disk and did not give me an option for JBOD or Raid.
at one point when i was attempting the install with another two drives the webpage changed to a wizard, which did allow me to make this choice, and had a slightly different UI. but ultimately this did not work.

Re: F2-210 Setup Issues
This is just a suggestion, but after a failed install WIPE the drive(s). That may be called 'secure erase' on your system, but essentially means writing '0's or '1's or '0&1's in every block. Deleting partitions or wiping partitions alone may not be sufficient.
It is logical that if you are only installing on 1 drive, you would not be offered a raid choice. (consider JBOD a raid choice as it needs > one drive.)
