I have a new F4-210. I've installed 2x2 WD green drives which I pulled directly from my WD MyBook Duo. I connected to my router and powered up. TNAS on my W10 Pro PC finds the device and the HDD checks ran, no problems. I started TOS init and it quickly when to 36% and stopped. Now, two hours later, and no movement. HDD 1 & 2 lights lit as well as power and LAN. Nothing blinking and no signs of activity.
I've looked at forums and docs and there is neither instructions on what to do if this happens, or on how to install TOS manually. I downloaded it, but Win10 doesn't recognize the file type. I don't want to brick my new NAS, so I stuck here looking at my frozen system.
Someone pls advise??
TOS initialization fail
Re: TOS initialization fail
Your tnas initialization was freeze at which step? TOS downloading? TOS installing? Raid formatting?
at downloading, which mean the network connection may be failed during package downloading, you can download the installation package manually and select the manual installation in initialization procedure. The installation package is special for your tnas, windows 10 will not recognize it.

Re: TOS initialization fail
I also have this issue. I logged into TOS to perform an update. It failed to install during update and it auto rebooted. After it rebooted I cant access the NAS via IP anymore but it still registers on the TNAS PC software. I checked my router and pinged the NAS as well and they all work just cant get to the login screen. I get a refuse connection. I then followed the procedure where you remove the hard drive while it is off then power it back on without the hard drives. Once the NAS was fully on, it would then allow me to login and was presented the initialization screen. I manually downloaded the TOS software as well as tried the internet option and both will fail at 55% which is during the TOS installation phase. I only have one hard drive inserted. Im out of ideas. Please help Thanks.
Re: TOS initialization fail
Please download the installation package of TOS4.1.27 from this link http://dl.terra-master.com/cn/TOS_S2.0_ ... 301431.ins and try the reinstall steps again.
Please choose "Manual download and install TOS" .
