Use or add free capacity in existing pool

Post by bjarney »

Is it possible to "extend" an existing pool by adding its free capacity? I'm working on a company F4-423 and for some reason, they didn't use its full capacity (left 2TB unallocated).

It's due to using TRAID instead of Single or JBOD, especially if it's just a single drive.

Based on that screenshot, there's very little stored, so reinitialize TOS 5.1.34 without TRAID.

If the plan is to be adding more drives soon, then TRAID will maximize capacity with redundancy versus using the other available options which have their own pros and cons.

No sorry, I got Volumes and Storage mixed up. The first volume only used 6TB. I've created another volume to use the remaining unallocated space.
