Could someone please explain to me the concept of Recycle Bin?
I have a F2-220 on version TOS 5.0.176 (x.86).
I see that I can enable Recycle Bin in the Shared Folder settings for each shared folder.
But I don't see the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop. Would that be a user setting? If yes, where do I find it? And what is the difference between the individual shared folder recycle bin and the desktop recycle bin?

Hi,
In the earlier version of TOS4, the recycle bin is located on the desktop (the actual path is under the user directory), which has disadvantages in the speed of moving in and out.
In TOS5 and the newer version of TOS4, the recycle bin is placed under the directory of each shared folder, and you can find the recycle bin there.

I'm not sure where, or how, else I should ask this question, so my apologies in advance if I'm in the wrong place.
I understand the concept of the recycle bin; however, I do not have the recycle bin enabled on a share (for laptop backups) yet one keeps getting created. As these backups are quite large, I only keep the last three and delete older copies. Because of the recycle bin, it takes a very short time to fill up the TNAS and then my backups begin failing. I can go to the share via a network connection and see that there is, indeed, a #recycle folder there, inside of which are all of my prior deleted backups.
Strangely, from within TOS I do NOT see the #recycle folder listed.
How can I prevent the (apparently automatic) creation of the #recycle folder? TOS 4.2.21, Model F2-210.
