Plex upgrade failed and will not start, help me recover

The recent PlexMediaServer-1.32.0.6918-6f393eda1-x86_64.tpk update file was applied as always, but since then attempting to start Plex results in it immediately reverting to a Stopped state. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Plex with no joy.

Please advise.

The version you installed is the version of plex official website, which has not been tested by our laboratory.
The version of our application center is 1.31.2.6783. You can rename the shared folder of plex before reinstalling our version. After you reinstall, you can re-index the previous directory and use the previous data.

Thanks, but the update was offered by the app.
Now your version is installed but the Plex app is still asking to be updated.

You need to report the issue to plex.
