D2 power back on after power outage

How do I get the D2 to power back on after a power outage, without having to physically press the power button?

I've got the same problem mate....

Even more puzzling, the drive is advertised to auto restore power in the event of a power failure.


Wondering if I should attempt a power button mod in an attempt to add the functionality

When the device is in normal use, if it encounters an abnormal power failure, it will automatically turn on when it is powered on again, and there is no need to manually turn it on.

This actually does not happen with this product. In a powerless event, one has to again power on the device.

Old thread, but I'm considering purchasing a D2-320 and need to know if this has been resolved, and if the D2 will reliably reconnect after power is restored without having to press the power button. Seems like Support and customer experiences are quite different.

The D2-320 features a power-on memory restoration function, enabling it to intelligently respond to various power outages. If the D2-320 device is normally shut down and then mains power is restored, the device will remain off. However, if the device shuts down due to an abnormal power outage, it will automatically start up when mains power is restored.

Please note that the D2-320 product does not support scheduled power-on and power-off functions.
