Upgraded from TOS 5.
Two HDDs are connected.
There is no extra slot for another.
Something is definitely wrong with the network speed of this update. My F4-220 was working fine until I installed the update. I use it mostly for storing movies. It used to take maybe 5 seconds for a movie to start playing when you'd click on one. Now it takes a full minute. Tried numerous files and all take a minute to start playing. I'm using an SMB share. Is is safe to revert back to the old firmware? Or is there anything I can try to fix it?

What software do you use and how do you play video?
We will optimize SMB transmission in the next version.
You can return to the previous version by reinstalling, but it is not recommended to return to TOS 4.

I have done it and nothing has changed.
One of the two HDDs will connect every time I reboot, but not both at the same time.
This was normal until I went to TOS 5.1.24.
We will update a version of optimized external storage as soon as possible. You can try to exchange the slot of the hard disk, or you can contact our technical support team to check the reason why it cannot be displayed.

I use VLC media player. The files are .mp4 and .mkv format. I just click on the file and vlc plays it. Pretty easy.
I wouldn't go back to version 4. I would go back to the last version of 5. I believe it was 5.0.176. I didn't have issues with that version.
Any idea how long it could be before the next version could be released? If it's gonna be awhile I might revert.

Salut, depuis la dernière mise à jour, il y a un sérieux problème de surconsommation du CPU , mon nas est au repos, rien ne tourne dessus et malgré tous, je suis à plus de 71 % de charge CPU !!!
Hi, since the last update, there is a serious CPU overconsumption problem, my nas is at rest, nothing is running on it and despite everything, I am at more than 71% CPU load!!!

the initial 5.1 beta has similar performance so i guess something is not OK, hopefully engineers will fix this since NAS server now is not useable at all
