Exactly the same issue here - was working fine before the last two 5.0 versions, Username and password correct and can login via SMB and SSH fine with these details.
Reinstalled TOS which allowed me in after initialisation but subsequent logins do not work.

So even after a reinstallation it shuts you out saying username or password is incorrect? And I presume you can't reset the password either, like I said, I think I will just reinstall the normal software and give up on the TOS5 unless they can fix this very soon.

I had this same issue and submitted a bug report on 25/03/2022, got a reply asking if I could screenshot the login failed page? By then I had reinstalled TOS5.0 , it happened a second time about a week ago, I'm getting good at reinstalling TOS 5.0 now. ;)
Also the TOS 5.0 TNAS PC does not work on Mac OS Monterey. (also reported)

OK to sum up issues with TOS5.0 I have encountered (and I installed the Public Beta on day 1).
1. 3 times I have been locked out of the TOS5 interface, despite using the correct User/Password (I setup 3 accounts to see if it just affects one login, it affects all logins). The only way to recover is to do a fresh reinstall of TOS 5 (Though the good news is your data appears to be safe). You can still access the SMB/AFP shares though.
2. The TOS 5.0 version (and the old version) of TNAS PC do not work on Mac OS Monterey
3. Apps seem to randomly appear/disappear in the app "store"/repository.
4. The time appears to reset itself to China times randomly. (This has happened a few times).
This feels less like a third release of a public beta and more like a late Alpha release. Please do not use it in a critical environment.
In light of the above, I still prefer it to the latest QNAP OS (QTS 5) which has been a nightmare.
