Ransomware is normally facilitated by a vulnerability in the OS. No AV software will find that.

Fair enough, but all of the "tips" in this forum says to install AV SW on the TNAS as well as your Router, (and PC of course).
I've seen Clam mentioned, but don't know what Linux version to install when I visit their website.

If you go to the applications folder on your TNAS you will find Clam Antivirus to install.
I have 3NAS with many TB of storage and all 3 have AV installed and do a weekly scan. , and in over 8 years they have discovered exactly zero pieces of malware. ( and I used to use torrents a lot).

Sorry, one more question, perhaps dumb, but here it goes.
My TNAS PC app always opens the TNAS login screen in MS Explorer (using Win 10).
I want to change it to Chrome, but can't find a way to do it in Win 10 settings bacause TNAS isn't listed as an app in Win 10's change your default browser page.

Open Chrome, navigate to your NAS login via the IP and then save it as a bookmark=sorted

Re: Urgent Notification about TNAS being Attacked by Ransomware
I just received an email from terramaster with a beta version of tos5, it is very curious that now it introduces identification in 2 steps, the possibility of traid and you can now make backup copies of folders
I may be a little distrustful but I have the feeling that terramaster has paid because they give them the coaves and nothing for us with our information, to look for our lives, this new system is very suspicious 1 week or so after the attack that introduces these security options I don't know how some of you will see it
