F4-210 HDD2 needs permissions

Post by silentspanky »

Hello,

I have a 8TB HDD, which has stuff on it, and it needs permission, its file access via network is public 2, but public 1 which is a 4TB drive, gets access and I can drag etc into it, however Public 2, requires access through explorer file, but in web based app it works fine. Is there a setting I am missing?

I basically was just messing around with the settings of the shared file, I deleted Public2, which had all the tv data, still shows 3.2 TB used, so.. plex isn't completely lost, but I recreated Public, and it doesn't show, how do I recover this data? lol... I don't want to re download 3.2 TB of data...

And after messing around with the settings they now work in the shared files but I still would like to know how to recover the deleted shared file Public2 to restore it, but if its restored does this mean I cant access the file via networking file explorer?

I went into advanced and am trying to restore the volume 2, but.... I hope it works unless there is a cmd line or file extension for such information to restore

Had to dig out the old IDE/SATA Docking to place the nas drive into, and use mini tool recovery, 3.2 TB I transferred from one drive to the other, I then went playing around with the shared folder settings, accidently deleted, did the advanced portion and boom. Gone on HDD2, HDD1 I just deleted them, I am hoping it restores it. Will take some time, which is a huge understatement but if it restores all that data. I will be ok.
