For the second time now my F4-210 developed a problem where the GUI does not work any longer but gives an NGINX error page "403 Forbidden".
The first time this happened I followed instructions I found for resetting the device (boot without drives, start GUI, when it complains insert drives, and it will offer to re-install TOS, leaving user data untouched) but this is time-consuming. I would much rather figure out WHY this happens and fix it in a less invasive manner.
Any ideas?

Re: TNAS F4-210 GUI: nginx access denied error
No, I didn't create any firewall rules.
I found a work-around: if I call the GUI with http://tnas:8181/tos/index.php it works.
I am not very familiar with nginx; if this were apache I would guess that (a) dir listings are turned off, and (b) index.php is not recognized as an index file for some reason.
But I can live with it as it is.
