The system installation always fails on HGST drives, and the volumes created on HGST drives didn't show up in menu, there maybe compatibility issue with the HGST drive.

Try to disable and enable again the SMB file service on control panel file service settings, and try again.
if you have set firewall rules on TNAS admin control panel, recheck your rules and make sure no rule going to block yourself from visiting your TNAS.

The hard drive capacity appears smaller than that claimed by the HDD manufacturer, because the TNAS file systems adopt the binary definition of storage units while HDD manufacturers adopt the decimal definition.
