Re: Forum functionality is a bit broken
Indeed, it does take a matter of seconds, it seems the admin isn't very active and it's just the moderating team here? My post was actually aimed at bidmead with his questions why he couldn't post in a forum and why the buttons appear first before login, as well as Flash

Re: Forum functionality is a bit broken
This I believe is how phpBB works and how they've set the permissions for the Know More forum. We can reply, but no new topics in that section. "Flash is off" will relate to the FLASH BBCode, which is disabled (rightly so, Flash is old and a potential security risk). They've probably also ...

Re: TOS 4.2.30 is released for update!
Does this help against the current attack wave? No. I did update the 1st of march and I got hacked the day after. Sorry to hear that, I got hit just before they released the update. Out of curiosity, did you go round and follow their guidelines to change the port numbers and disable the services th...

Re: How to protect your TNAS from Deadbolt ransomware?
Sorry to sound a bit stupid but would reinstall method #2 reset everything to factory default and definitively remove the ransomware, while keeping my files on the harddrive since I can no longer login and access the TOS pages? I need to assess the damage caused to see how much media I might have lo...

Re: Urgent Notification about TNAS being Attacked by Ransomware
As soon as I realised I had been attacked, I disconnected it from the internet and turned it off, meaning I couldn't use my PC via network drives to survey the damage. To be honest, I'm not overly concerned about the files that I may have lost but I will need to know exactly how much has been lost s...

Re: Urgent Notification about TNAS being Attacked by Ransomware
Not entirely happy that I've got hit as well, and when I got home to check what was up, I got greeted with the message above. It must have happened in the last 24 hours or so as it was fine at around 8pm yesterday. For now I've completely disconnected the system and will not connect it again until I...
