I've been running into this too on my F4-424 Max. Every firmware update changes the host key. It's also a gamble whether the update will reset my Time Machine folder, unrelease ports 80 and 443, and reset a bunch of other settings, too.

I noticed today after a few days of using this on my F4-424 Max that Time Machine wasn't working anymore. It turned out that the chosen backup folders had been reset, so TOS was exposing /Volume1/public instead of my custom directory. I set it back and toggled Time Machine and it seems to be working...
