Hi, you can go to the TOS control panel-User Groups module, edit the media user group and set read/write permissions for the shared folder of which you need to scan (e.g. public).

I'm not owner of F4-210, but the SMB connection that comes with iOS is difficult to use, so I've been using an SMB/FTP connection app. there are a lot of these types of tools in the Apple APP store, so maybe one of them will be useful and enjoyable for you.

Hi, after you pull out the not-yet-failed disk, the RAID will go into degraded state, and then t you can insert a new HDD to repair it.

My USB extension has two USB disks and it can just eject the corresponding disk. Is the D4-320 a similar USB expansion device?
