Re: SMB horrible performance with 6.0.535-00158 copy multi-gigabyte files

Well, I must admit that the problem lies in the external FLASH drive I was using to perform the test. Apparently, it was having read issues. I am now copying directly from the internal drive on another computer and I'm seeing 100MB/sec pegged the whole time. As it should. I apologize to the TOS team...

Re: SMB horrible performance with 6.0.535-00158 copy multi-gigabyte files

Re: File System Snapshot viewable somewhere?

Found a workaround: open a terminal and cd to the directory you want to make access to the File System Snapshots visible. Type: ln -s /var/subvols/<your subvol>/@sysSnapShoot/FileSystemSnapshots/ <- the typo sysSnapShoot is correct This begs the question: is there a way to make symbolic links in the...

Re: File System Snapshot viewable somewhere?

I don't want to restore the snapshot, I want to open the snapshot in the File Manager.

SMB horrible performance with 6.0.535-00158 copy multi-gigabyte files

I'm copying multi-gigabyte video files from my Windows 10 machine to my F8 which I have configured as with a single 256GB system drive and 4x2TB SSDs in a JBOD with recycle and system snapshots as this is just a duplicate copy device. I have 3 shared folders and the Time Machine Backup enabled. The ...

Re: Auto-lock for Snapshots

'As for your second point, the snapshot application does not include the file system snapshot function. Instead, this function is located in the navigation bar at the top of the desktop under "Backup" > "File System Snapshot".' This only shows the snapshot list, but doesn't allow...

Re: Allowing '.' as a valid folder and OneDrive issues

Right now the source selector looks like this: Folder 1 Folder 2 ... You could change it to: Sharename Folder 1 Folder 2 ... That way you could select the Sharename as the source or any of the sub-folders. You basically do this with the destination by allowing you to choose any empty folder.
