TNAS TOS 7
TNAS on android no longer works brings me to a terramaster page to down load the app I already have 3.4 the beta version wants me to directly download by bypassing Samsung security and trust an unknown app because terramaster don't have it on the play store

You do realise that this isn't acceptable in a time when mobile devices have users most sensitive data and banking details that and Terramaster is expecting them to by pass security to install something that terramaster can't be bothered installing in play store.

Terramaster need to start taking security more seriously or what is the point of storing data on Terramaster NAS.

We apologize for any confusion caused by the current installation method and would like to provide the following clarifications:

1. The Positioning of "Public Beta"
Currently, both TOS 7 and its companion app TNAS Mobile 3.x are in the Public Beta phase. The primary goal of this stage is to invite our core users to help us identify potential bugs and optimize the user experience. Because the beta version is updated very frequently (sometimes multiple times a week), we provide the APK directly through our official website to ensure users receive the latest patches and fixes as quickly as possible.

2. Google Play Store Listing Policy
The Google Play Store has strict review standards designed for "Stable" versions. The lengthy review process for each update (which can take several days or more) would significantly hinder the rapid iteration required during the beta stage. Please be assured that once TNAS Mobile 3.x reaches our stability standards and transitions to a formal release, we will prioritize listing it on the Google Play Store and other major app markets.

3. Security of "Unknown Sources"
Android systems (including Samsung’s Knox security) label any application installed outside of the Play Store as being from an "Unknown Source." This is a standard system-level defense mechanism.

Source Reliability: As long as the APK file is downloaded directly from the official TerraMaster website (terra-master.com), the file is secure and has passed our internal security audits.

Permission Management: Our app strictly follows the principle of "least privilege" for Android privacy permissions and will never access your banking information or unrelated sensitive data without authorization.

4. Our Recommendations
For High-Security Requirements: If your mobile device contains extremely sensitive data and you prefer not to modify any security settings, we recommend that you stay on the TOS 5 / TOS 6 stable systems. These versions are fully compatible with the official TNAS Mobile app already available on the Google Play Store.

For Testing Purposes: If you wish to explore the new features of TOS 7, we suggest installing the beta app on a secondary device or in a controlled environment for testing and feedback.
