I've been using the D4-320U for a couple of months. It's never really quiet but today I came into the studio and it's LOUD! I can barely hear the phone over it. I tried shutting down and rebooting but no luck. Help!

Based on your description, it has been confirmed that the noise is coming from the fan. Please check whether the fan cable and the fan itself are interfering with each other. Additionally, the fan speed of the D4-320U product is automatically adjusted based on the hard drive temperature. Please also check whether the hard drive temperature has risen abnormally. If both of the above checks show no issues, the fan itself may be faulty, and replacing the fan should be considered.

I checked the drives and they are cool. On one of the tries rebooting it came back normal and then kicked into high gear within about a minute.

It would be helpful if​ you could send a video so we can hear and identify the noise.
