[Help] Photo Album Backup

I notced that this has been covered prior and marked as resolved but I am having issues trying to backup my mobile photos to the NAS. My NAS is an F$ SSD but it seems an impossible task.
My phone (Samsung Galaxy S25+) keeps disconnecting -- apparently when display goes off - not sure but it seems when Display goes off or I move to another APP and TNAS is not foreground anymore. I continuosly get a "Connection Failed" message (see attached image).
I installed the VPN as requested by the app initially and it seemed to help keeping connection alive but then causes other issues - like cannot connect Android Car Play and have to look for ways to disconnect b/c there is no "easy" disconnect VPN option.
Then I re-installed app so that I do not load VPN and this is when I get these two issues:
1) Connection keeps failing (see attached image)
2) There is no option to select to prevent the VPN pop-up message to continually pop-up (just OK and CANCEL buttons). And every time it pop-ups then it interrups backup. See attacehd image.

Regarding the issues you've encountered, here is a detailed explanation and suggestions for each:

1. **Regarding Interrupted Photo Backup**
When your phone is locked or you switch to another app, the Android/iOS system may pause or terminate the background process of TNAS mobile to save battery, which can cause the photo backup task to stop. This is a normal mechanism of the mobile operating system.

2. **Regarding VPN and Android CarPlay Conflict**
The VPN feature is designed to help you access your home NAS faster and more stably when you are on an external network.
Please note that enabling a global VPN on your phone **may affect** the normal connection of Android CarPlay. This is a system-level limitation and currently unavoidable.
**Suggestion**: If you need to use CarPlay in your vehicle, you can first **exit the TNAS mobile app** on your phone to temporarily disconnect the VPN. After you finish using CarPlay, you can reopen the app.

3. **How to Disable VPN for TNAS Mobile**
If you want to disable VPN specifically for TNAS mobile, the general steps are: Go to your phone's **Settings** > **Network & Internet** or **Connections** > **VPN**. In the list of configured VPN connections, find the one corresponding to TNAS mobile and disable or delete it.

4. **Regarding Remote Access Prompts Without VPN**
When accessing remotely without enabling VPN, due to complex network environments, the app is more likely to prompt "network connection error" due to poor connectivity. The VPN service is provided precisely to simplify this connection process and improve success rates.

Thank you for your reply. I was looking more of a future software update/solution. For example. I should be able to select DO NOT ASK AGAING for VPN but that option is not there. Also, When exiting TOS the VPN should close but stays open and connected. Yes I know where to go but its a pain everyime to go thru menues to dissable VPN to connect Anddoid auto. All and all - I appreciate the feedbac and workarounds and looking for a more streamlined consumer friendly easier solution. Cheers.
