[Discussion] Issues related to TOS 7 v403?

1) File Manager, right click on a file then select copy, message displays "Already added to Pasteboard" but when you paste the file somewhere else, it does copy file w/o issue.
2) File Manager, right click on a file and select "Copy To", there isn't an option to select Volume2. My one NAS has two Volumes *Don't Ask :)

3) Rsync when you manually run a job (no reoccurrence) the stats only show the end time stamp, not the starting. With a recurring job, the start/stop stats are not filled in at all. Also with recurring, no notification is displayed or emailed.

4) Snapshot jobs, are they supposed to generate notifications/emails? They don't with v403, not sure if prior released did. Same goes for Filesystem Snapshot jobs.

Thank you for your feedback. :
Copy vs. Cut: After a "cut + paste" operation, the file is moved from the clipboard to the destination, and the clipboard is cleared—so it can’t be pasted again.
Volume 2 Access: Directly copying or moving files to a volume’s root directory (e.g., Volume 2) isn’t supported. However, you can freely copy to any shared folder located on Volume 2.
Task Completion Notifications: Email alerts for background tasks (e.g., copy/move jobs) depend on your notification settings. You can review and enable available options under Control Panel > Notifications.
Let us know if you need further assistance!

I didn't ask about copy versus cut. I haven't copied or cut anything prior. When I go and do a copy of a file, I get the message. The file isn't something I copied before, so it shouldn't be in the clipboard. I will upload a new file to a folder, then try copying it somewhere else to see if the message displays. Side question, how to "flush/clear" the clipboard?

Vol2, yes, I know how to get around that. I just used the right click and select copy instead of "copy to"

All the notification options are on. Haven't turned any of them off. Besides if a one time rsync job does generate notifications, then the option is on and there. The concern is when the rsync is recurring, say once a day, that job instance doesn't generate any notification.

Ok I uploaded a text file into public folder. Right click copy, said file already exists in pasteboard. (copy did work)
Another test a copied a different text file to the public folder via Windows. Same results in TOS File Manager when copying the file.

There is no dedicated operable module involved in how to clear the content on the clipboard regarding you. You can simply refresh your browser to cancel the clipboard records.

We will pay attention to and reproduce the Rsync issue you mentioned, where notifications are only sent for the first backup.

We have confirmed the issue you mentioned with Rsync. Please wait for a fix in a future version.

Ok cool, thanks. Oh yeah browser cache. I'll try that later today.

Tried clearing browser cache, also tired private browser and even using a different browser that I never used for the WEBGUI.
Same results, the thing is the copy always work. Just a quirk, I guess. I'll try it again with next beta update.

We have followed the steps you described and attempted the operation multiple times, but so far we have been unable to consistently reproduce the issue you encountered regarding "the text always being usable" in our test environment. May we ask which browser you are using?

Edge is the default. But I did try on Firefox as well as Chrome. It is just weird for me anyway that it happens on all three of the NAS's, F4-223, F4-425 Plus as well as the F4-424 Pro.
