[Help] new F2-425 fails to complete initialization correctly

Brand new F2-425 with two brand new WDC WD60EFPX-68C 6TB drives (Red Plus) fails to complete initialization process correctly.

Tried both automated initialization and manual initialization. Each time the TOS initialization appears to complete successfully but when the F2-425 reboots the NIC does not come up (both lights are amber). I guess it is assigning an AIPA (automatic IP address) in the 169.254.0.0/16 range but I'm not sure why it's doing that since I have set a DHCP reservation on the router so I expect the NAS to use the IP I assigned. Checked the router and the reserved IP is not assigned. Checked the switch the NAS is connected to (Cisco 2960) and the port shows no MAC address associated. Have not had any issues with other DHCP reservations using the same router and switch.

I have a monitor plugged into the HDMI port and can watch the system boot. I do see a bunch of errors related to network access and the Postgresql cluster service does not start. Originally, prior to initialization, I was able to login to the NAS using connected keyboard/mouse and username "root" and password "admin." After initialization and reboot these credentials no longer work (also tried admin/admin, admin/Admin123, root/Admin123, without success). I assume the root password isn't actually set and needs to be generated via the web but since the NIC does not come up that's impossible.

Tried booting the system into single user mode by modifying GRUB but it requires the root password to login (which isn't set).

If I can't get this working I'm going to have to return this system.

I tried TNAS PC version 5.2.506 and was able to locate the NAS on the network however I could not set the new IP address for the NAS using the default password "admin" -- get error "Password is incorrect"

Under normal circumstances, after initialization and reboot, the system will enter the username and password setup page. Please try removing all hard drives and then powering on the device, and observe how many beeps you can hear. To improve troubleshooting efficiency, you can also contact online customer service via the official website's live chat to help you determine the fault.

Powered off the system, removed both drives, and powered it back on. Initial beep while BIOS loaded. Grub screen comes up and system boots from init. I heard three (3) beeps. TNAS PC successfully finds the NAS and it has the router assigned IP address. Open web browser and navigate to the assigned IP and the screen says "No disk detected! Please install disk(s) and try again!"

Inserted one drive and the Initialization screen comes up. Go through the setup process download the bootloader, download & install TOS. System rebooted and comes back up with AIPA address. Still unable to edit IP address configuration with TNAS PC using password "admin". Never came up to setup page.

Based on your description, it's possible that the initialization process did not run completely. Please go to the official website's live chat to schedule an engineer for a remote check.

Sorry, is there a link to the live chat? I don't see it on the terra-master.com website. There's a thing at the bottom that says support 24/7 with a picture of a headphones but this isn't a link. Should I just email the [email protected] account? Thanks!

It's only available during certain hours, due to China Standard Time; you'd see a chat bubble like this (this was screenshot just prior to posting, so they're available as of this post):
