[Help] Connection drops with NAS

I have a new F2-425 with 2 12Tb disks.

I have the issue several times a day where the connection with the NAS drops. After a few minutes, the connection is restored.

This has several consequences:
* TOS gives a white page
* Time Machine backups fail (always) due to the dropped connection
* The NAS is no longer visible in Mac Finder nor in Windows File Explorer
* The Plex (on LG TV) stops playing in the middle of the movie. Sometimes, we can watch a movie without problem, sometimes this happens several times in the same movie
* The Plex player states that the NAS is not available
* Open Excel/Word files can no longer be saved (sometimes causing the application to crash, losing all work!!)
* A Mac pop-up says 'server connections disrupted'

I checked several things but this keeps on happening:
* I checked the LAN light on the NAS when the issue occurs, but this is happily blinking...
* There are no notifications
* When the issues is not occurring, the NAS is 'Running Smoothly' according to the TOS dashboard
* The status of both disks is 'Good'

I checked online for suggestions on how to solve this, but to no avail.
* Disk sleeps is set to 'Never'
* There is no Power on/off schedule
* The NAS has a fixed IP-address
* SMB file service is enabled

PLEASE HELP!!

Please generate and download the log report in TOS > Technical Support > Issue Report, then send it to our technical support email ([email protected]). We will analyze it. Also, include the link to this post in the body of the email.

I tried emailing to support but got a mail delivery error.

'Number of files or folders in attachment exceeds limits.'

There is only one zip attached.

You can upload the compressed package generated by the system report to the cloud drive and then share the link with us.

Now it got even worse.

1. I lost connection to Plex
2. When checking the TOS desktop, it was running at 100%
3. I checked for an update and tried to install it but it failed because 'Your volume does not have enough space'. I have 12TB wit only 33% used
4. Plex was no longer on my web-besed TOS-desktop. I tried enabling Plex, but that failed as well
5. I went to the NAS and the disks were 'clicking' like crazy
6. I restarted the NAS, but could not access the NAS via the iOS app nor the TOS web-based desktop
7. I had to wait for more than 30 minutes before the NAS was once again accessible through the iOS app.
8. The system is once again sluggish (100%)
9. The web-based desktop is not accessible.

What is happening here?
Note: before restarting the NAS, i removed the external access checkbox

Since you are currently unable to access TOS, you can upload the previous system report to a cloud drive, then send the link to [email protected], and include the link to this post in the body of the email. We can try to analyze the cause from the system report.

I have sent a mail with a link to the file on my Onedrive.

Can you check if this has arrived?

Based on the system report you provided, it can only be preliminarily guessed that it may be related to btrfs-cleaner and a few services that frequently use the network.
Please try to open Terminal, enter this command to turn off Btrfs quotas, and also try changing the network interface from DHCP to static.

Hello

Is it possible you forgot to add 'this command'?

And I do not have access to Terminal
