Hi,

I found that users can access photos they're not supposed to.

I have photos in a shared folder and a user. The user doesn't have access to this folder. I gave them access to Photos app and everything seems fine on the surface.
  • Photos: ok
  • Videos: ok
  • Folders: ok
  • People: ok
  • Scene: WRONG, too much access, the user can find photos that are in the restricted folder
[System informations]
  • Model: F4-424
  • Version: TOS 6.0.794-01324
  • Photos Version: 3.0.033

Also, I don't know if it's intended but I added names in AI detected people but it doesn't affect users and they need to do it themselves.

Sorry, we are not yet sure if we fully understand your meaning. Could you please describe it more clearly?

Let's take an example:

Users
  • admin
  • user1
TOS Configuration
  • Media discovery: on
  • Folders | Allowed access:
    • /homes/admin/photos | admin
    • /homes/user1/photos | admin, user1
    • /public_shared_folder/photos | admin, user1
    • /private_shared_folder/photos | admin
Photos Configuration
  • AI face recognition: on
  • AI scene recognition: on
When I connect to Photos as admin, I can see everything.
When I connect to Photos as user1, I checked if user rights were respected under private/public spaces :
  • Photos: ok
  • Videos: ok
  • Folder: ok
  • People: ok
  • Scene: NOT OK
  • Places: NOT OK
From Scene or Places, user1 can access photos that are not supposed to be accessible to them. More specifically, it seems user1 can see photos that are under /private_shared_folder/photos while /homes/admin/photos isn't accessible at all.

List of issues
  • Users can find photos in Scene and Places that shouldn't be accessible to them
  • "Added recently" category is always empty
  • If I set people's name (from AI recognition), it doesn't affect other users on the same photos (but that could be intended)
I hope it gives you more details and helps you digging into the issues. :)
Don't mind if you have any other question !

Thank you. We have understood the issues you mentioned.
We are still confirming the questions related to 'scene' and 'location'.
Recent shows images uploaded from the Photos app, but those uploaded from File Manager will not be displayed.
Yes, different users' naming of albums will not affect each other.
