Migration of recordings

I changed the storage location for two cameras from a folder on volume 1 to a folder on volume 3. A notice popped up that said recordings would be migrated from the old location to the new location and to be patient.
The currently recording files did move over and new recordings appear in the new location. However, none of the old folders and files have been moved to the new location. Will the old recordings actually get moved at some point in time? If not, is there a way to manually relocate them in a way that allows the timeline function to still find them?

Hello, you can manually move these route files in the file manager. The timeline feature searches for route files based on the camera, so as long as you have access permissions to the new folder, you can view them.

I copied the folders & files from the old volume to the new one, then deleted the originals. None of the copied files were playable within the app even though playable externally. Within the app, the player window would stay blank when I would try to view a copied file.
I deleted the entries for the time points copied from the recordings listing within the app. The actual files in the new location were not affected, they remained in place. Two of the copied time points could not be deleted within the app, both displayed the "recording" flag. Both were for the same camera and the recording flag could not be cleared by the "truncate" button. I later manually deleted all files that had been copied into the new volume location.
It appears the app has an internal database referencing recordings and does not re-scan a file folder to populate the listings while running. I did not try disabling/re-enabling the app. The app may be rebuilding a file list at startup.
In any case, after pruning the recordings list the timeline can now operate in "sync" mode with all cameras & going back to the point in time when I changed the storage location to the new volume.

Does Surveillance Manager automatically create a shared folder "Surveillance" on Volume 1 when going from disabled to enabled?
I deleted that folder when I changed the storage location to Volume 3, but it reappeared following a disable/enable sequence with the app, despite the storage location change.
