[Help] DAS D8 Hybrid - Mode selection - dangerous contradictory information

I have a new DAS D8 Hybrid that I'm currently setting up with four hard drives without losing the data.
There's a sticker on the right side that says I should point the arrow on the mode selector switch to the RIGHT for single-drive mode.
However, the mode selector switch itself has a printed message on the casing that says I should point it to the LEFT.
If I select it incorrectly, I risk data loss.
Which setting is reliably correct?

Your "chat agent John" is very bold when it comes to customer data.
I've been dealing with the problem caused by Terramaster for quite some time now. I've spent part of that time trying to get him to understand what I've been saying from the beginning, based on his questionable answers. Just when I was hoping to get a definitive answer, the chat disappeared.
It seems to me your AI isn't capable of forwarding problem cases to real people.
What I wanted to write before the chat disappeared:
"Both pieces of information are on the device.
Do you mean the printed sticker or, as before the photos, the marking on the casing?
As I mentioned before, based on standard production processes, I assume the sticker was applied after the casing was printed. Furthermore, you didn't take into account that I would be using HDD1 and HDD2.
So, once again: Have you checked this? Are you sure?"
You're making it unnecessarily difficult for customers to use your products.

Hello, the stickers on the device only represent what each mode means and how to set up RAID; they are not labeled according to the physical positions. We will consider using corresponding stickers in later updates. The actual RAID mode should be taken as the information displayed on the device. Even if you turn the knob to make changes, no changes will be applied until you press the reset button, so your data will not be affected.
