[Help] D5 Hybrid - SSD Drives Disconnecting

I have a D5 Hybrid running 2 SSDs setup up as Raid 1 via Mac Disc Utility. The drives were disconnecting before and I was advised in another thread to update the NVMe slots firmware, which I did, but the drives are still disconnecting. I'm not sure what else to do other than run the 2 SSDs as single drives and hope that is more stable.

Are you saying that issues arise when using Mac Disk Utility to create an NVMe RAID1, whereas using two Single does not result in problems? Please note that updating the firmware for D5 Hybrid NVMe requires executing the update once for each NVMe slot.
It cannot be ruled out that there may be an anomaly with the SSD. It is recommended that you attempt to troubleshoot it.

I haven't tried setting up the drives as singles yet, I'm just hoping that if/when I do, that is more stable than my current Raid 1 setup. Regarding the firmware update, I ran it on both slots. I'm also using the provided TerraMaster cable, as that was another suggestion. That's also true that it could be the SSD(s) themselves. I guess I'll just mess around with it and see.

UPDATE: I reformatted the SSDs as singles and tried installing the drives one at a time. I tried each slot with the first drive and it would sometimes stay connected for the full work day and sometimes it would eject after a couple of minutes. Went through this process again with just the second drive and same thing, no matter what slot I tried, it would eject at some point.
I thought maybe my Mac was putting the discs into hibernation and limited the power, causing it to disconnect, so I went into System Settings > Battery > Options and set 'Put hard disks to sleep when possible' to never. Within the hour, the SSD I had installed in one of the slots disconnected.
The HDDs I have installed are completely stable.
As mentioned, I've updated the firmware for each SSD slot and am using the included cable. I might have to just use it strictly as an HDD enclosure and move on to something else for my SSDs.

What model of SSD are you using? Do you have any other SSD models that you can try?

Both of the SSDs I'm using are Samsung 990 Evo Plus 4TB. Unfortunately, I don't have any other NVMe SSDs. I'm planning on buying a single SSD enclosure to test the drives further and also so I can have something portable to take with me into the office.
