Good day everyone,

Just over a year ago, I bought my first NAS... a TerraMaster F4-424 Pro and outfitted it with 4x new WD Red 20TB hard drives using TRAID. I've since hit 95% storage capacity using this as my PLEX server and I did what newbie folks do and listen to the Terrance "i" suggestions to increase storage via a DAS unit. I then found a new D4-320 and outfitted it with 4x WD Red 22TB hard-drives but I could never get my NAS to recognition as a usb device (connection via usb-c cable that arrwith the D4-320 unit)
I thought i finally got it figured out when I added a new storage volume (which also created a new storage pool by default) yet my plex could never see past the root of this new pool... when I tried changing permissions, it stalled and failed and now all my 22TB drives are not accessible... im stumped because google says both that the D4-320 is compatible and not compatible.

Can anyone help a newbie out?

Assume that you are using TOS6. If you have created a new storage pool using the disks on the D4-320, you will also need to create volumes based on the storage pool, and then create shared folders based on the volumes. Only then can you implement read and write operations on the shared folders.
After creating a storage pool using the disks on the D4-320, they will be treated as SATA expansions rather than USB devices.
