For the past few years I've had a TNAS plugged into my Comcast router/modem. It's worked great. However Comcast sent a new router/modem. During activation, I had it keep all of the old settings. I plugged the TNAS into one of the two LAN/ ports. Unforately the TNAS doesn't show up on my Network and the old IP address acts like there's nothing there. I've tried both ports.

Also the LAN light on the TNAS goes off shortly after after powering on the TNAS.

Calling Comcast didn't really help, they verified there wasn't a problem with their modem/router. Most of the router settings have to be fiddled with through the comcast app but none seem relevant to a wired connection. On the router admin page (10.0.0.1) there is one checkbox for port 2 "Associate Ethernet" Unfortunately checking and unchecking it doesn't seem to make a difference with the TNAS (It does make a difference when I plug my laptop into it so I know the port works and the setting does something). The router/modem is also in gateway mode not bridge mode.

Any suggestions or help is appreciated.

I'm guessing I set it at some point to only work with the specific mac address of the old router. I've tried to do a factory reset on the TNAS however the little hole for the paperclip doesn't seem to have a button down in it. Holding the power button for a long time doesn't seem to work either. I've already returned the old router so I can't just plug it into that and fix the configuration. Is there some way I can get it talking to my new router?

After changes to the network environment, the network configuration on the PC will also change.

If you suspect the issue is with the TOS system, you can boot the NAS without installing any HDD/SSD to start the USB Initboot system, which can also be detected by TNAS PC app.
Please inform us of the TNAS model you are using. And do you remember the TOS version?
