[Help] D8 Hybrid Disk error moving data

I had multiple disk errors moving data from one HDD to an NVME drive (moving Steam games) and had been looking at this forum for answers. It only happens randomly and get disconnects as soon as the disk error happens. Drives are new and tested them before hand and I even updated my NVME firmware for the D8 provided on one of the posts here.

I ran into this article viewtopic.php?t=7346 and I believe this is the issue I have since the HDD in question is in bay 4. I since move it to another bay and currently testing to see if this issue goes away. In the meantime the article says it is solved but no resolution is given. Is there a firmware update for the HDD bays that fixes bay 4?

Hello, you can try swapping the hard drive in slot 4 with the hard drives in other slots. Test if it can be used normally.

This can be marked as resolved, it is not bay 4 as I still had issues when I stop using it. After much troubleshooting it turns out it was the USB cable I purchased. The D8 Hybrid only comes with a USB-C cable and I needed an USB-C to USB-A cable. I bought one that stated it supported 10GBs speeds but it was garbage. I did found that Terramaster sells these cables for 20 USD so I purchased it and all my issues went away. I recommend that everyone that uses these devices use USB cables from Terramaster or risk having random disconnect or disk errors wile doing write operations.

Also for Terramaster staff please either include this cable with the device or at least mention in the manual the recommended use of a Terramaster USB cable for this device and provide a place where you can purchase it.
