[Help] F4-212 NFS Permissions TOS 6.0.585-00028

Hello,

I'm trying to mount one of my F4-212 folders onto my main TrueNAS server. I have the correct client IP, set it to Read/Write, No Squash Mapping.

I can get it to mount, however after that, I can't get any access to that folder.

I also have a Qnap server, and I have successfully mapped one of those folders onto my TrueNAS server, and the permissions work as expected.

Any help would be great!

Thanks!

Hello! Are you currently attempting to mount via NFS service? If so, in order to pinpoint the issue more accurately, could you please provide the error message or screenshot information that appeared during the operation? This will help us further verify and troubleshoot the issue.

Additionally, you may try using the SMB protocol to mount the shared folder and see if the same issue persists. You can also compare the configuration differences between QNAP shared folders and TOS shared folders, as this often helps identify the issue.

Thanks for the reply!
Here are some screenshots, and what happens when I try to mount the TOS folder on my TrueNAS

My Qnap server has different squash options, so it's kind of hard to compare.

Thanks!

Please try modifying Squash.

OK, I made some progress. I changed the squash to Map all users to Guest, and it lets me see all the files in the shell on my TrueNAS server, however the permissions are really strange...

My QNAP mount shows all the files as 1000 users, and I can access the files in SMB, and other apps on the TrueNAS:

and if I look at the TNAS mount, it has a few different users on files, and I can't access the files on SMB or any other apps:

Can guest permissions on TrueNAS access files on SMB or any other application? It may depend on your settings on TrueNAS.
