With TOS Version 6.0.770-00002 im facing an issue where a scheduled task always sends an email. Even without the notification checkbox enabled, but also when the notification settings is configured for "send script run errors only". In fact it's always sending an email out.

Could you reproduce this and hand me a solution? Thanks in advance.

Hello, may I ask what's the model of your device? With the model information, we can more accurately reproduce the issue and resolve it.

Hi, same here with my F8 SSD. I have 3 tasks with „Send script run error messages only“ and nonetheless I am getting mails for starting and successfully finish each run. Thanks for looking into this!

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced.
The issue you encountered is due to a global “master switch” setting for email notifications (as shown in the image below).


Temporary solution:
If you would like to enable email reminders only for Task Scheduler, please follow these steps:

• Go to General Settings > Notifications;

• Uncheck System Events and save the settings;

• Go back to the specific task settings and enable email notifications for that task.

Note:
Once you disable the System Events master switch, you will no longer receive other system-level email notifications (e.g., TOS updates, abnormal shutdowns). Therefore, we recommend that you either check system status manually on a regular basis or adjust the settings based on your actual needs.

We fully understand that the current design is not reasonable and may cause confusion. To address this, we have planned a comprehensive optimization of the notification system in upcoming versions of TOS, with goals including:

• Separating notification types for more granular control;

• Improving overall logic clarity and user experience.

This optimization will be gradually rolled out in future TOS versions. Please stay tuned.

Just calling out that on the latest version (6.0.794) of my F4-424 this is still an issue. Scheduled tasks always send an email when they start and when they complete, regardless of the task notification settings. The Empty Recycle Bin task doesn't even have a setting to enable/disable notifications, it just always sends them. So I guess the only way to prevent all these notifications is still to turn off all system notifications globally.
