[Help] Upgrade TOS NVME

I've recently set up my very first NAS, a F4-424pro running TOS 6.0.694 using 1x 128gb nvme (btrfs) drive, but have found that this drive is faulty so I have sourced a pair of replacement 256gb nvme to both replace the faulty on and also give me a backup of the system.

What I have been unable to work out is do I...

A: put one of my new nvme's into slot 2 and then and then use TOS to mirror the data, then replace the faulty one and re-mirror back onto it leaving the 2x256gb nvme running the show

or

B: Pull my storage drives and then replace the nvme and reinitiate the system? Doing this I don't know if I risk loosing data on my storage drives when I put them back in.

Any help or advise will be very much appreciated

Thank you for the reply, I've just read the information on that link but it doesn't seem to connect to what I asked as I need to replace the nvme drive in my unit.

The operating system is currently working fine but I'm getting shutdowns as the system is reporting that my currently installed nvme is overheating, this is why I want to replace the installed one with a new one.

You can power off NAS, install 2 new NVME and then initialize NAS again, after that, restore your system configuration
