Hello,

I would like to know if snapshots (both, folder shares or system wide) are stored within a backup to another NAS
via Rsync, TFM, etc...

Best,

Stevie

Hello! The Snapshot application can directly back up shared folders to another NAS without going through Rsync or TFM.

If you use the replication function, you can select "Remote TNAS" as the destination when creating a replication task, then fill in the relevant information of the other NAS to directly copy the shared folders from this NAS to the other NAS.

If you use the snapshot function, you can create a snapshot task for the shared folders on this NAS, manually take a snapshot, and then create a restore task in the Snapshot application on the other NAS. Select "Restore from Remote Snapshot," fill in the remote NAS information, and you can retrieve the snapshot to restore it locally.
