Hi,

If possible, can you please incorporate TNAS syystem notification for IP changes / when the network changes. I normally need to use IP scanner to find the new IP and remap all my links in windows. An email from "TNAS syystem notification" indicating "A change in the nextwork configuration has been detected. NAS {NAS name} previous IP 192.168.1.115 has been updated to 192.168.1.116 from {date when this change was detected, according server time zone}" would be great.

In adittion to that, Can you make the name of "Notifications" panel the same as the subject of the emails ("TNAS System Notification"S"") for consistency and for when we need to find this option on the panel, it will show up straight away

Also, it will be good to add some adittional control (in the form of check boxes as the attached screenshot) or at least information in the form of a description (in brackets) to know what is covered by "Power" or "System event" for example.

For low space, probably an input field would be useful (accepting x%, 10%, 20%, 50% , y% depending on every user)
Finally, A "YES/NO to all" (ON/OFF) is always great.

Thanks in advance

That seems rather unnecessary imo. There is already TNAS-PC or Mobile to check the nas IP. Or, you could set up your network so the IP does not change. If it changes that quickly/often, maybe your dhcp lease time is too short.

I assume you have access to google play or apple store...well, some of us don't - I have an Huawei with blocked access to Google play. and even though this is a particular case, that dependency should not be necessary (TM should depend on TM and not another devices/services from another company) - at least for something simple as getting a system variable. Also, no need to install a NAS-PC for non technical users (or without admin permissions over their own pcs)

DHCP already assigned all fixed IPs to other devices. There must be cases wehere users do not have access to control panel, or router settings, or need to contact support or IT manager just to get the new IP (just to update their links). This simply simplify the process of getting the new IP. and therefore expands TM products usage to people with less technical experience. I never said "it changes too quickly/often"; Just saying a change can cause disruption, therefore an automated TNAS System Notification would be useful.

Thanks for your comment, but this suggestion adds value according to me and is probably necessary to some users too.

Have a great weekend!

Regarding your request to enhance notifications for 'IP changes,' the project team will discuss this. As for other requirements, they are already planned for future TOS versions.

I would just like to point out that, should the ip address change to one that is not part of the current lan segment (as we know it can), then any email notification will never reach the recipient since it cannot be routed.

This can be captured by a note or incorporated as an exemption
