I bought a F6-424 Max during the Spring Flash Deals. it's really a great TrueNAS box!

Pros:
DDR5 gives on-die error correction Extra bays give cache options Compatible RAM upgrades TrueNAS compatibility

Cons:
Full ECC not supported

Overall Review:
Went straight to TrueNAS. Memory replaced with 2x Crucial 96GB DDR5 (CT2K48G56C46S5) RAIDZ1 with 3x IronWolf Pro 18TB (ST18000NT001) Redundance SLOG (write cache) with 2x 512GB Team Group EX2 SSDs (T253E2512G0C101) One 512GB M.2 NVME as ARC (read cache) TrueNAS installed onto redundant SSDs Small hack to keep TrueNAS install from taking all of the Team Group storage. Use DEL key to get into BIOS/UEFI. Clean Memtest86 burn-in. Excellent experience in this first week. Sometimes things just work out.

I once read from other forum that it can enable the ECC option in the BIOS. This should be under something in the BIOS...
Chipset->System Agent (SA) Configuration->Memory Configuration->In-Band ECC Support
But I'm not sure if it's possible?

Hi，what is the specific performance improvement of using 3x IronWolf Pro 18TB hard drives as SLOG (write cache)? Is there any test data?

Thank you for sharing your content. I have also seen installation guides for other OS on the Internet. Maybe I will consider trying other OS, but I still like TOS very much and hope TOS has more functions.

Yah, totally agree, I also think TOS is great! If you've noticed my signature, you'll know I also have an F8 SSD Plus – currently upgraded to the latest TOS version.
TrueNAS is my new experiment!

This is exactly the kind of setup I was considering - really helpful to see someone pull it off successfully.

Only issue for some on Truenas is being unable to expand the volume. So if you create a pool you will need to recreate the entire pool if you wish to add a drive. This is a consideration to keep in mind. Additionally, ZFS does have benefits as well as additional overhead. Some issues with ZFS itself have populated and can be googled. Finally, Truenas is indeed more memory intensive do to various overheads, anyone looking to seriously test with it will likely need to add additional memory to their system, depending on raid type, ZFS configuration scheme, and size of volume/data.
