Hi,

my TNAS is a replacement for a now-defunct fileserver.
I have a decent number of users already.
They have decent passwords (which i don't know), and i have a reasobable password-policy (which i do not tell here, only: It is much more strict than the basic policy of TOS 6.x).
It is that just my policy and your basic policy are not compatible, so many of my users probably would have to create new passwords, and now would be able to create less safe passwords than before. :?
Especially my wife won't like that, now that she remembered her fairly complex password...
How to change the password policy on TOS 6.x?

Kind Regards,

You can modify password restrictions in the User Advanced Settings of Control Panel.

Also, on the same page, you can allow users to change their passwords via email. So you can set a dummy password when creating users as well as entering their email. Then they can change their password to whatever they want (or when they forget).

Edit: I just read your other post. Guess you will have to figure it out ;)
