D5-300C Auto Power on/off with F4-423

Hi there

I'm wanting to create a single storage pool across the F4-423 and D5-300C (connected directly via USB obviously), I know this is bad practice but its cold storage for non critical data. Is there a way to set the D5-300C to power on automatically when I power on the main NAS unit , and of course power down automatically when I shut the NAS unit down ?

Many thanks in advance

Hello, when performing power on/off operations on the F4-423 product, the D5-300C device cannot synchronize its power on/off status. Additionally, the D5-300C product itself does not have scheduled power on/off functionality.

So i assume the raid cannot be split across the devices or does it just need manually powering off and on at the same time?

Many thanks

The F4-423 device supports the creation of a TRAID array using its built-in four HDDs. Similarly, the D5-300C device can also construct an entirely new TRAID array through its five HDDs. It is important to note that the F4-423 and D5-300C devices must maintain synchronized power states, meaning they should be powered on or off simultaneously.
