Dear all
I have been scouting all the board for a guide on upgrading my system from a TOS 5.1.74 to the newly released TOS 6 on my F2 212. I have found the official releases and users have mentioned to have succeded, but I have tried to update and use the packages with no luck

Is there any step (update to specific versions first) that I am missing?

Thanks!

It's not available yet, however it's on their roadmap for future release, per an employee's response within viewtopic.php?t=7174

It could be ready in about two months.

Hi all
I wonder if it is possible to update to TOS 6 on a F2 212 now?

"It could be ready in about two months." Not necessarily Earth months.
Two Neptune months are 10K earth days. I guess you just need to be patient.

There's been a beta since April of it.

There's zero validity for this hyperbole.

They've had the above-mentioned public ARM TOS 6 beta since April (within a month of that statement that "it could be ready in about two months") @ viewtopic.php?t=7888; they are currently making final adjustments towards the first stable channel/public release, which is without a timeline (it's been 6 weeks since that "final adjustments" remark, however there's now a security vulnerability for all TOS 5.×/6.× builds which they'd need to resolve prior to release, which has added time to it all).

Currently, new bugs within the 6.0.750 ×86/×64 stable/public release build might have had some of the team place the upcoming ARM TOS 6.× aside temporarily to resolve bugs that effect the majority of TerraMaster's customers versus the much smaller group on ARM.

Let's make that two Jovian months, man. Because at this rate my NAS is bricked. There's obviously some sort of, responsibility on my part. I had a perfectly fine home streaming system setup for my 4 drives. I could stream movies with Emby etc, now it's totally bricked because I assumed when they released the beta that:

1. All apps WOULDN'T BE COMPLETELY BRICKED
2. It would be for APP DEVELOPMENT PRIMARILY (Which wouldn't include extreme security vulnerabilities Terramaster is prone to in the past, and also that given they want app development ALL PREVIOUS APPS WOULDN'T BE BRICKED SO YOU CAN RUN THEM AND IMPROVE THEM FOR NEW FEATURES)

But yeah. I'm selling my F4-212 for cheap once I find a 4 drive intel box on eBay so, cheers, man.
