Upgrading F2-223 to TOS6

Been reading several posts, and there is SO much information here it's hard to find a direct answer so please link me to anything that will help.
Currently running 5.1.145 on my F2-223. The only app I have installed is PLEX. This is used primarily as a storage drive setup.
I seem to understand that I will need to reconfigure everything from my shares to my user passwords to reinstalling PLEX.
Is there a way to back up or export my settings before I do the upgrade? It doesn't matter to me if I have to manually configure things as long as I can input the same settings (names, passwords, shares, etc).
Also - what is the risk of losing data in this upgrade? Being in IT I also know that things may and do happen so everything might go well but it might not.
Does the upgrade from 5 to 6 require a wipe of the data disks?

Hello! You can follow the instructions below to upgrade from TOS 5.1.145 to TOS 6.0.530, and then update to the latest TOS 6.0.577. Please note that the system configuration will be cleared during the upgrade, but your data will not be affected.

Is there a way to export (even in a text format) my current configs to make it easier to rebuild them once I've upgraded?

We apologize, but the current system does not fully support backing up and restoring the entire system configuration and user data. When upgrading the TOS system from version 5.1.145 to version 6.0, many configurations have been optimized. Therefore, restoring configurations from version 5.1.145 in the 6.0 system may lead to unexpected issues. We recommend that you follow the upgrade methods we provide. Good day to you. I am ready to upgrade F2-223 from
tos 5.1.145 to tos 6 now, and reading many good feedbacks on this useful forum. Like to clarify:
"...from TOS 5.1.145 to TOS 6.0.530, and then update to the latest TOS 6.0.577...", does it mean that
1. After the first upgrade from 5.1.145 to 6.0.530, then a single step
from 6.0.530 directly to 6.0.577, without in between a few upgrade versions. Thanks in advance.
2. Any advices for what to avoid during and after upgrading, knowing that the upgrades is not a 100% smooth process.
The aim is to avoid mistakes that could lead to high unproductive time and frustration, and I am a simple user.

You can directly upgrade from version 5.1.145 to 6.0.530 without upgrading the intermediate versions. For update instructions and precautions, please refer to:

jump direct from 530 to 577, or need incremental upgrades of each upgrade in sequential order.

After upgrading to TOS 6.0.530, you can access relevant information about the latest version and update to the newest release directly through the Control Panel - General - System Update, without the need for step-by-step upgrades in between.

Great to hear from you with the good news, now knowing that after the TOS 6 initial version installed and followed by reconfigured of the Tnas system, then can go direct to the latest reliable version.
Will post constructive feedbacks, after the upgrade and use.

(Did follow and read the progress of others who did the upgrades and Tnas representatives in posting the relevant info, I need to be sure for not making serious mistakes, so I posted the request for tech assistance. Glad to reaffirmed that TerraMaster is a good business company with professional employees.

Good day. Attempted to upgrade from TOS 5.1.145 to TOS 6.0.530 but FAILED.
Able to download TOS 6 (zipped) package, then unzipped to HDD. During unzipping, encountered interruptions, please refer to attached screenshot.
Question:
1. Do I select the downloaded (original compressed but not unzipped) TOS 6 package (840MB) for upgrading process ??
2. If needing to use the unzip package, what is the need step, i.e. do I need to activate the app files e.g. "INSTALL", or what steps should be followed?
