i have f2-424
are there any benefits for traid vs raid1 ?

i read this and i only saw benefits when using more then 2 HDD
my model has only 2 bays , that's why i am asking...

An advantage of Traid on 2 disks is that it is relatively easy to start with 2 smaller HDD and increase then capacity with larger capacity HDD as you go. With traditional raid arrays, this was not so easy. This may have changed on some systems, but there is always the occasions that you will encounter situations where the physical raid array has to be (copied and) deleted to change capacity.

Plus (and probably the best reason) is you can initiate Traid on a SINGLE disk and then add a second disk later.

If you replace your TNAS device with one that has more drive bays in the future, TRAID will also make it more convenient to expand your existing storage pool.
