Good afternoon. I have a Terramaster f6-424 with 6 disks in raid5, ext4
And I have noticed that if the disk volume is in EXT4 format, they never enter standby mode. Even if it is configured for 10 minutes.
On the other hand, if the volume is set to BTRFS, they enter standby mode correctly after 10 minutes. I think it is an operating system failure.
The operating system is installed on the nvme
I was wondering if anyone else had this problem.

Ext4 (Fourth Extended File System) is a journaling file system for Linux, after you have file operation, you need to wait for sometime to allow the journal operation complete.

I understand. But in the tests I created a volume in EXT4 format that only had an empty folder.
Then I left it running for 12 hours without accessing the NAS and the disks would be spinning.
Then I did the test of deleting the volume and creating it with the BTRFS format. I also created an empty folder and left the NAS again without accessing it.
And after 10 minutes I could hear how the disks stopped. (They are configured in the hardware section to go to sleep after 10 minutes)
For that reason, I think it is a fault of the operating system that affects when the volume is in EXT4 format
