How to grant access to all subfolders and contained files of a folder for a special user

Hi,
I tried to update the access to subfolders and files that were copied with an admin to a TOS 6.0 NAS.

What I tried:
- right click on the main folder
- open preferences
- go to permissions
- set for the user the required access right (read or read/write) and set the checkbox for "replace access also for subfolders"

Result is, that I have to update every folder and sometimes also every file separately.
On a NAS with thousends of files this is not suitable.

Is there an easy way to set the access?

Many thanks.

If you are using TOS6, you could consider using the Terminal app and linux tools (eg 'chown').
You can figure out the exact usage for your purposes using on-line manual pages.

Sorry, I do not have any experience with terminal and linux.
Is there a possibility using the web interface or a tool on TOS6?

You can go to Control Panel - Users - Select this user for editing permissions and set folder permissions for this user.

I did 2 things:
1st: I entered for the users in control panel and set for this special user R/W.
2nd: As 1st didn't make any difference, I tried to update the rights for the folder (including update for subfolders).

But I still have to grant access to every subfolder and sometimes for single files seprately.

Any further ideas?

Many thanks.
