Text Editor in TOS 5.1  [Accepted]

This request already came up several times and we were referenced to TOS 6.
However, my F2-220 won't get TOS6 anymore.
And there used to be a text editor in TOS4. Hence, it would be nice if TM could just provide an editor as app to be installed from app center.

Considering this announcement, if there's an incremental patch release to the current TOS 5.1.× build, it will have to be in the next ~2 weeks.

However, since TOS 5.1.145 was a July 2024 release that hasn't seen an update in a few days over 6 months, set your expectations to "not likely".

I did not see this announcement. Thanks for pointing it out.

My kind of naive hope was that TM could provide a simple app that could load through the app center.

Meanwhile, I use Filebrowser that runs on Docker, which is a nice workaround. It's a simple but powerful fiile manager and it comes with a very nice text editor. It's very useful to manage all the YML files that I need to run the stacks and containers.

Looking forward, I've already made some experiments with OMV, which seems to run quite nicely on that old machine.

Thank you all for your suggestions. The text editing feature in file management is already scheduled, and we kindly ask for your patience.
