Can you tell me if email notifications work with TOS6?.
Previously with TOS5 it worked fine but after migrating to TOS6 I get the message "failed to send mail..."

Yes it does, but setup 'custom' with tls/ssl

works fine on mine TOS6 install

Thanks for answering, I had asked about it in the chat and I had been told that it was a general problem in TOS6, but I didn't believe it because I haven't seen anything reported here as a bug.
Please tell me what configuration I have to do, I just see enabling email sending and writing the email.

Please whitch SMTP Server and port are you using ? SMTP Server and Port 465 or 587 is not working for me.

smtp.gmail.com using for gmail.

That was the problem, I was using Google's DNS, using Terramaster's has solved the problem.

Indeed, this issue currently exists and we are continuously following up on it.

I also have the same issue, the local mail server will not work.
I also tried using my self hosted mailserver but whatever I try that will not work either.

I can only use my hosters SMTP server without issues.

I have 2 F8 SSD Plus and they both behave the same way.
My self hosted Kerio Mailserver shows this message when the NAS connects:
Failed SMTP login from x.x.x.x with SASL method CRAM-MD5.

The self hosted mailserver works for 10+ years without any issues for other clients so seems to be an issue with the setup inside the NAS.
Please fix, I'd like to use anything local and have the NAS blocked from internet access as much as possible.
I had to open up a rule to allow the SMTP to the hoster communication.

I still have this issue. Can someone please provide the custom smtp config details for us to use?
